HERCULES: the man was one of the world's first, great heroes. Zeus, king of the Olympians, sired him for that very purpose. Though Hercules died and was brought to Mount Olympus with his father, to live among the immortals as an immortal, his worthiness has oft been questioned. Zeus had always been one to express a fiery temper. Zeus's wife Hera has never forgiven her husband's infidelity. Zeus's brother Pluto has his own reasons to hate the Lion of Olympus. Hercules has battled both in his thousands of years of life. More than once Hercules has fought for and with mankind. Even in a new age of heroes Hercules stood out. It is for the mortals that Hercules did defy his father again. Zeus's wrath was terrible and he did strike from his son his immortality.
